community.vmware.vmware_object_rename – Renames VMware objects
Note
This plugin is part of the community.vmware collection (version 1.15.0).
You might already have this collection installed if you are using the ansible package. It is not included in ansible-core. To check whether it is installed, run ansible-galaxy collection list.
To install it, use: ansible-galaxy collection install community.vmware.
To use it in a playbook, specify: community.vmware.vmware_object_rename.
Synopsis
- This module can be used to rename VMware objects.
- All variables and VMware object names are case sensitive.
- Renaming Host and Network is not supported by VMware APIs.
Requirements
The below requirements are needed on the host that executes this module.
- python >= 2.7
- PyVmomi
- vSphere Automation SDK
Parameters
