CategoricalIndex.min(*args, **kwargs) [source]

The minimum value of the object.

Only ordered Categoricals have a minimum!

Returns:

Returns:	min : the minimum of this `Categorical`
Raises:	TypeError If the `Categorical` is not `ordered`.

min : the minimum of this Categorical

Raises:

TypeError

If the Categorical is not ordered.
